## About Glencore

Glencore is one of the world's largest diversified mining and commodity trading groups, headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, with its primary listing in London. It mines copper, cobalt, zinc, nickel, ferroalloys and coal across dozens of countries, while its marketing arm trades metals, energy and agricultural products. Mining and trading together make it a central player in many critical mineral supply chains, cobalt in particular.

## Glencore's critical minerals business

Glencore is linked to a wider spread of critical minerals than almost any other miner. Copper and cobalt come from its mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo and elsewhere, zinc and lead from Kazakhstan and Australia, and nickel from Canada and Australia, much of it refined at Nikkelverk in Norway. Chromium, with vanadium as a by-product, comes from its ferroalloys venture in South Africa, metallurgical coal from Australia and Canada, and silver from its base metal mines. Its trading arm also buys and sells many of these metals from other producers.

## Where Glencore operates

Glencore's copper and cobalt come from Kamoto Copper Company and Mutanda in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and from stakes in Collahuasi in Chile and Antamina in Peru. Zinc and lead come from Kazzinc in Kazakhstan and McArthur River in Australia, nickel from Sudbury and Raglan in Canada and Murrin Murrin in Australia, and ferrochrome from its venture with Merafe in South Africa. Its coal mines are in Australia, Colombia and, through Elk Valley Resources, Canada.
