Materion is an advanced materials company based in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, and the only fully integrated beryllium producer in the United States. It mines beryllium ore at Spor Mountain in Utah and turns it into metal, alloys and ceramics used in aerospace, defence, semiconductors and telecommunications.

Beryllium is Materion's critical mineral, and its integrated supply chain makes it the main source for the West. Beryllium is light, stiff and stable, which is why it goes into satellite and aerospace structures, defence systems, X-ray windows and the connectors in semiconductor and telecommunications equipment. Materion also makes precious metal products for chipmakers as well as specialty alloys.
