Paladin Energy is a Perth-based uranium producer that restarted the Langer Heinrich mine in Namibia in 2024 after several years on care and maintenance. Its acquisition of Fission Uranium added the high-grade Patterson Lake South project in Saskatchewan, while the Michelin deposit in Labrador gives it a further Canadian option.
Uranium is Paladin Energy's critical mineral. Langer Heinrich produces uranium oxide concentrate from a large, lower-grade open pit, while the Canadian projects would add high-grade production in the years ahead. Its output goes to nuclear utilities under long-term contracts.
Langer Heinrich is in Namibia's Erongo region, inland from Walvis Bay. Paladin Energy's Canadian projects are Patterson Lake South in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin and Michelin in Labrador.
